Maybelline Baby Lips
They're here! Baby Lips finally arrived in UK drugstores last month after a long excited wait. American beauty bloggers have been obsessing over these for what feels like forever so when i walked into superdrug and saw the rack of lipbalms i did a little dance before rushing to the checkout. I've never seen a hype as big as this one over Maybelline's range of tinted and clear lipbalms called baby lips, i literally was among ten other girls racing to the till while many more followed behind us. Maybelline madness!
I managed to pick up three out of the six, i decided to get the colored as apposed to clear, which meant i ended up with pink punch, peach kiss and cherry me. (see the full range here)

packaging
Baby lips come in a range of bright colors with the tube itself in one, and the writing in another. I love how Maybelline have taken such a fun approach to the look of these, lipbalms can be awfully boring and plain. The cute and bright packaging may have something to do with their popularity.
price
Each balm is £2.99 which i suppose is a little on the pricey side compared to most lipbalms, although the quality fully makes up for the price tag which means you don't feel ripped off in the slightest. There has also been offers on every time i've been in somewhere that baby lips are being sold. In Superdrug the first week they came out you could get three balms for the price of two and now you can get 2 for £5.
To get the best price Superdrug is defiantly your best bet as Boots' offer on baby lips is "buy one get the second half price".
product
As i mentioned previously i brought the three balms that have a color to them. This color is actually surprisingly pigmented and it's just a matter of applying until you get the color you desire, eg- if you want a brighter lip apply a few coats and if not just the one is fine. Maybelline claims this colour will then stay put for 8 hours, something as much as i love these balms, i have to disagree on. If you can re-frain from eating, drinking or licking your lips in for that 8 hour period then perhaps you may still have some colour on your lips. However i highly doubt anyone will be doing that. A few drinks and you should need to touch up and even then i personally have only got up to a few hours wear (2-3), although as someone who has tried every lipbalm on the market and doesn't go a second without wearing one i think this is great!
Oh my god. As for scent these balms are the best.
Peach kiss (a gorgeous, shimmering nude color) has a delicious fruity scent, good enough to eat. It smells a bit like pink punch (a bright pink) which again, is a gorgeous fruity scent that makes you want to lick your lips clean. My personal favorite of the Baby Lip's i own is cherry me (a dark pink/red colour) it indeed smells exactly like a cherry however it tastes like a haribo sweet, yum.
overall
★★★★★★★★★☆
Which baby lip's do you recommended me getting next?
I aim to get all six, im in love.
What do you think of Baby Lips, worth the hype or not?
Love Grace
