Topshop nail varnish review
So i recived these often raved about topshop nail varnishes for christmas from my brother. He brought me the set of three varnishes wich retail for a price of £13.00 or £5.00 to £6.00 individually. This is a very resonable price for nail varnishes especially for a set of three and not to mention from topshop. This is less than half the price you would pay for three OPI polishes that usually retail for £11.00 each.
I recived two metallic shades and one matte. The golden colour is called 'solar', the silvery blue 'lunar'and the pink 'high voltage'. First off,i love love love the names! I think they're so cute.
trying the diffrent shades
First i tried 'solar' i imediatley found out that with these nail varishes a little really does go along way! Just one dip and removing the excess varnish on the side of the bottle was enough to cover the whole nail and some. The golden colour has a great opacity and wouldn't have been too pale with just one colour. I think this is really impressive as i usually find myself having to do a few coats before the colour is even visable with some cheaper brands. I think a bit more glitter would have made this nail varnish even better but i think im just being fussy!
Secondly i went for 'lunar' the same thing applied with this colour, just a tiny bit of varnish covered a whole nail and i now see why the bottle's are so small wich was something i was concerned about. The opacity was even better with this shade and there was even more glitter in this one wich i was very pleased about :).
Lastly i used 'high voltage' i imediatley fell in love with the bright pink matte colour. Once again the opacity was fantastic. I only applied two coats of this although i would has easily been able to just wear one. This varnish has a very nice shine to it and looks alot like 'bio-gel' however, unlike bio-gel nails my varnish had chipped within a few hours of application. Im not sure whether this was my fault or if it's just not very chip resistant but i will update you next time i use it.

my nails in 'high voltage'
Overall i have to say i really like these nail varnishes and i am very impressed! I now understand why everyone has been raving about these for so long. I definatley need more of these colours in my life!
let me know what shades you have and what you think about the topshop nail varnish range
lots of love grace x
