Body Shop Born Lippy : Lip balm Reveiw
Pomegranate (purple)
Toffee (brown)
Lychee (pink)
Packaging
The packaging on all three lip balms is ever so cute. The born lippy sticks have a kind of comic book theme with the speech bubbles and cartoon effect lips. I'm a sucker for a cute looking product so i love the look of these. The flavor of the lip balm however is a little hard to find, which is something the body shop could make a little bigger on the balm. Although this is such a small detail and doesn't take away from the pretty packaging.
Product
These balms all provide your lips with a slight tint of color, a subtle shimmer and most importantly leaves your lips moisturized. A crutial thing for a fllavoured lip balm is that it isn't sticky, no-one wants a horrible sticky texture from their lip balm which the body shop have obviously taken into consideration. All three are sticky-free and really do their job.
I'm a sucker for a good lip balm and have consequently tried almost every balm there is so trust me when i say these are really one of the best!
Flavour
As someone who doesn't have the first clue as to what a lychee smells like im guessing this is pretty close. Lychee sounds quite gross if im honest so the sweet powder pink of the lychee stick was a shock to me but the smell is really fruity and pretty.
I do however know what toffee smells like and this balm has got it down to a t! I honestly just want to lick it all off my lips when i apply this, yummy.
Pomegranate smells a little like the lychee, both fruity and equally as yummy.
Price
Each born lippy stick is £3.00 which i would consider quite pricey for a lip balm however they are the same price as the majorly hyped Baby Lips so i may just be being cheap ;)
If you are looking for a good lip balm though it's definitely worth the money!
Overall
7/10
